STEM for Britain is an organization that awards once a year young scientists who are thriving in their field for their research work. The areas for the awards are Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Kelly was one of the finalists for the field of chemistry for her work “Nanostructured endo/exo particle materials for energy conversion“. This study paves the path towards a new way of structuring materials applied for the use of methane as an alternative way to produce synthetic fuels.
The talented Chemist was also invited as a speaker at the 1st Internet Conference of Mineral Resources – Environment – Chemical Engineering. The special seminar she participated was a part of the “Career Day” with the topic “Young scientists living abroad”.
Kelly is a scientific writer, mentor and one of the most active members of Greek women in STEM and we wish her many more achievements and amazing research findings that will improve the world we live in.
