Mentoring Team | Social Impact
I am a final-year Biology student at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), specializing in Molecular Biology and Genetics. My research interests include cancer and immunology. Over the past year, I have been working on my thesis in the field of cancer epigenetics, studying the action of specific epigenetic regulators in mantle cell lymphoma as well as in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In the coming months, I will be in Athens for my internship at the National Research Foundation, focusing on biomarker discovery and translational research, aiming to develop new and innovative therapies.
As a member of the Greek Women in STEM Organization, I participate in the Mentoring team, connecting interested individuals with the mentors of their choice, coordinating, and organizing their mentoring sessions. My motivation for joining Greek Women in STEM is to support Greek female researchers in the STEM fields, so they continue to serve as role models and inspire the younger generation of researchers in STEM sciences, as well as guide them to achieve their goals.
When I'm not in the lab or conducting an experiment, you can usually find me at the gym, enjoying a walk by the sea, or at an Asian restaurant indulging in endless sushi with my friends.
