Niki Michalopoulou M.Sc.
Head of Marketing
I am a Mathematician, a graduate of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Ioannina (Greece). Currently, I am completing my postgraduate studies in Bioinformatics and Neuroinformatics, a programme offered by the Hellenic Open University in collaboration with the Ionian University (Greece). My research focuses on understanding and analyzing the functional connectivity of the brain in neurodevelopmental disorders. Additionally, I am a secondary education professor experienced in specific learning difficulties like ADHD and dyscalculia.
In Greek Women in STEM, I serve as Head of Marketing. Through my role in the organization, I contribute to the promotion and recognition of the work of Greek women in STEM fields. My duties involve creating written and audiovisual material to raise awareness about our community and vision, while communicating the "magic" of science in a simple and understandable way, inspiring young people to pursue their own career paths in science.
My interests extend to educational robotics and I am a passionate advocate for volunteering and science communication for all ages. In my free time, I enjoy reading novels, writing, photographing landscapes and taking walks in nature.
