Katerina Bobota DDS

Chief-Editor

I am a confident healthcare professional with a proven track record of successfully diagnosing and treating patients' conditions and a deep passion for research and science. My career in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery has been marked by roles in prominent institutions, including Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UK). My extensive experience encompasses clinical fellowships where I honed skills in plastic surgery, research, and oral surgery. In addition to my clinical work, I have a strong background in scientific editing, writing, and social media management for Greek Women in STEM, where I have been contributing since October 2020. My educational qualifications include advanced studies in dentistry, pharmaceutical bioinformatics from Uppsala University (Sweden) and academic research writing in health sciences from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. My ability to work as part of a team, along with my leadership and project management skills, has been pivotal in my professional journey.

In Greek Women in STEM, I have served as a Scientific Editor, Writer, and Social Media Manager, while my current role is focused on leading our magazine. I joined this organization to advocate for and promote the representation of women in STEM fields. My personal vision is to inspire, support, and empower women to pursue careers in science and technology, thereby contributing to a more diverse and inclusive scientific community. Through my work, I aim to break down barriers and create opportunities for the next generation of women in STEM.

Outside of work, I love engaging in outdoor activities such as surfing and free diving as well as spending quality time with family and friends. When it comes to creativity, I love making waves both inside and outside of work!
